Key FOB Security

Pool

FYI, pool/Key Fob security. For the last two years, on advice of council and our
insurance carrier, we had been requiring a signed COVID-19 waiver form from our
Homeowners to protect the association from liability claims before we would
activate Homeowner’s Key FOB’s. We are no longer requiring the waiver.
However, the signed waiver requirement provided an unplanned positive result. A
significant number of still active lost or stolen FOB’s were identified and were
subsequently disabled. For security reasons, rather than simply turning all FOB’s
back on automatically, we would like to continue trying to identify lost or stolen
FOB’s so they can be deactivated. If you did not sign a waiver or did not receive
your Key FOB in the last two years your FOB is most likely deactivated. If your
FOB is not working you can get it activated by contacting Greg Gillis at
pool@oakwoodglen.net. Give Greg the number on your FOB and he will activate
it. Each Homeowner is allowed two FOB’s if they have paid for the second FOB.
Any other FOB’s associated with your account will be deactivated. FOB’s for
Homeowners who’s assessments are delinquent and are not on a payment plan will
remain disabled.
